[Varric's handwriting is messier than usual, and somewhat stilted, as though he took pauses every few words while writing it.]

Tell me you're all doing fine.

It'd probably be best if you all avoided me until this blows over.

[He's not in his room, but he's definitely going to quarantine himself. He's also not answering that other zombie post. Varric's telling Hawke, that's good enough for him.]

[He agrees with Hawke whole-heartedly there. Between that and her threatening to deal with people and hunt Zhaneel down, she's not exactly Varric's favorite person at the moment.

That's not all he does. He takes out templars. Gets a few hits on giant spiders. Writes convoluted manifestos and refuses my advice on how to make things more interesting. Or understandable.

[Trust him, Hawke, it's not really something he wants to do, either.]

Don't remind me about the manifestos. I keep finding them all over my house.

Don't worry, Hawke. A little thing like getting sick isn't going to stop me from spreading the word about your epic Qunari dueling, dragon slaying, ogre killing, sewer crawling adventures.

And yet I still play cards with her.

So do we all. I think that's the most telling thing about our sanity, really.

That's the burden every hero has to face. Sooner or later, someone besides their official biographer will start spreading stories about them.

[He might have, on occasion. Varric definitely agrees. There's more than one reason Hawke is the central figure in most of Varric's stories.]

I think the fact that you're still sticking around after all these years speaks volumes about your sanity.

You know I don't recall ever having to be a hero until I met the lot of you.

Maybe it just speaks volumes about your ability to inspire people to stick around. Besides, you know I'm only still here because of all the gold and storylines I get out of it.

Usually his persistence is entertaining. Like watching him try to foist his manifesto on people.

And yet, I still don't have my own statue.

It's always more entertaining when it's happening to someone else. You could, but that just might convince him you want to take a more active role in spreading it around.

Try killing the Arishok in a duel. That should do it.

That might be better than finding pages in my pillow. Still not sure how they got there.

You know, on second thought, I don't really want my own statue. Too showy. I'll leave the one on one duels to you.

I think that's one story I'm glad not to know.
