[Varric's handwriting is messier than usual, and somewhat stilted, as though he took pauses every few words while writing it.]

Tell me you're all doing fine.

It'd probably be best if you all avoided me until this blows over.

[He's not in his room, but he's definitely going to quarantine himself. He's also not answering that other zombie post. Varric's telling Hawke, that's good enough for him.]

[Varric's...just going to sit here. There's less worry about sudden coughing fits or dizziness if he doesn't move.]

Now, let's make certain you live to tell this tale of yours.

[That said, he extends his hands toward his friend, the telltale blue light already gathering between his fingers.]

[More light flickers in his eyes as he casts the healing magic at Varric.]

[Varric's not gonna lie, he's actually hoping this does work.

He's not expecting it to, of course, because that'd be way too easy for their lives, but he's kind of hoping. Not that he'll admit that.]

Just don't get your hopes up too much.

[And then, hi flashy blue, Varric recognizes you. He's seen a lot of you. He closes his eyes, waiting.]

It's easier if you don't speak for a moment...

[Because Anders is digging deep into his reserves -- into Justice's power. His voice is a bit distorted, as a result. But it's worth it, to have more magic to try and heal his friend with.]

[Varric's all set to make some kind of comment about that not being the first time he's heard that and it's usually not any more successful than it was now, but he catches that distortion in Anders's voice.

Yeah, he's just going to shut up. Talking's been starting to hurt, anyway.]

[The spell winds itself down, and Anders shuts his eyes, his shoulders slumping. That took a monumental effort, and, for the first time since he became a healer, he's not sure he's done any actual good.]

There...

[For the first time since Varric'd started getting to be on the receiving end of Anders's healing, he's not sure it did any good, either. Not in the long run, anyway. But his head and throat ache a little less.

Or maybe that's just wishful thinking. But it's the story he's sticking to.]

Don't think much of anything's going to make whatever this is go away completely, Blondie. But at least my head doesn't feel so much like an ogre sat on it anymore.
